First Production Experience with Terraform!

Hi all. So I got my first production experience with terraform. I needed to provision a VPC for our DR environment in another AWS region, and I did this purely with a terraform configuration file (I did create the three elastic IP address by hand, everything else was done with terraform). So VPC, NAT’s subnets, and tags: everything was done via terraform.

It’s extremely rewarding to be able to work with the latest and greatest technology. I’ve also been taking a crash course on Docker and Kubernetes, as our infrastructure is all on AWS EKS. Pretty night and day difference from supporting applications running on Citrix at the beginning on my career. I’m excited for that the future holds!
